I love organising, and I have been looking for something to keep all of Hailey’s art supplies in one place. Then I found this beautiful 12-inch turntable tray which is spacious enough to fit all of it, including her fat markers and paint! I love that it comes with a removable divider which gives 4 separate sections and best of all, it spins! I’ve seen others use this tray as a spice rack, organise toiletries, and to group smaller items on shelves (and so many more ideas).
For this, I kept each art medium in its own container. I personally like giving her the option to remove it from the tray if say she wanted to only use colour pencils or her markers. You can use any cup, jar or plastic containers in your home, though I prefer using only either white or clear ones.
There are two types of turntables in the market. The inexpensive ones (RM20-30++) will be like the one that we have. It comes in 3 separate pieces – the tray, roller and base. The roller is not attached to the tray and will require you to hold it when you lift it up. The more expensive ones (RM60-70++) have the roller attached to the tray. This will not be a problem if you don’t plan to move it all the time. But if you do, it doesn’t take much to reattach it either 🙂 This inexpensive one spins just fine and it doesn’t bother me having to reattach it every once in a while.
Here’s a before / after. I love the transformation. Not only does it make it more inviting for her to get artsy, but also a beautiful centrepiece when not in use. Functionality and aesthetic – it’s a win!
